Uzma Zakir, RPh

Uzma Zakir, RPh, is a pharmacist, endocannabinoid and plant medicine educator, and founder of Bloom Higher. Her work began in pharmacy, where she developed a deep understanding of medications, receptors, physiology, drug interactions and the realities of complex health questions.

Her path into cannabinoid science began years before cannabis became part of mainstream wellness culture. Working with patients, she built expertise in the endocannabinoid system and in individualized cannabinoid education, helping people understand products, formulations and how they fit with the medications they already use.

Her work extended into professional and community education. She developed educational programs, taught patients and healthcare professionals, presented cases, and translated emerging cannabinoid science into practical information.

Over time, another pattern revealed itself. People rarely arrived with one isolated question. Sleep, stress, mood and memory kept appearing together, and medications and products sat alongside all of it. Uzma did not set out to create a new theory. She first observed what was happening. Then she followed the pattern.

Her work deepened into nervous-system awareness, contemplative practice, and the subtler dimensions of human experience. She did not leave science behind. The science became part of a larger picture.

Today, Bloom Higher is the expression of that evolution: an individualized approach that brings together pharmacology, endocannabinoid science, plant-based wellness and intentional practice. The aim is to understand the pattern and help people ask better questions.

The results appeared before the explanation did. She followed them.

How I work

I take a careful look at what you use and what you are asking. I explain what I know, I tell you what I don't know, and I encourage you to bring questions to your doctor. I don't diagnose, prescribe, or ask anyone to change a medication.
